Focco per se: Line art

This is the image that currently appears on my business cards. It is based on a sketch I did in 2001, easily one of the most elegant and sensual sketches I drew of focco. I gave it a simple treatment with vectors, using the minimal number of fluid broken lines, intending to use it as a logo or for a business card. (You can view that old version here.) It remained unused, though; perhaps I wasn't fully satisfied with it, or was saving it for a better use.
In 2005, I came to a point where I needed to order more business cards, and as I was no longer associated with the company that appeared on the previous batch, I decided to redesign them in a more personal way. So I blew the dust off the sketch and reworked it. The broken line approach was abandoned, and I used crisp contour with tiny disconnected flecks suggesting the indicating continuations of crossing lines. I also made the drawing more solid and correct overall, and used the colors of this site to frame the line art.
